Draw

Money you take from an approved line of credit, up to your available limit.

A draw moves money from your credit line to your bank account. Interest or fees start on that amount from the day it is drawn, and your available credit drops by the same amount until you repay it.

Lines handle draws differently. With a traditional bank line, you usually pay interest monthly and repay principal as cash comes in. Many online lines treat each draw like a small term loan, repaid over a set number of weeks with its own fee.

Example: On a $40,000 line, a $15,000 draw leaves $25,000 available. Repay $5,000 and your available credit rises to $30,000.

Before you draw, check the minimum draw amount, any draw fee and how quickly the money arrives.
