Verification call

A call a funder makes before it funds, often recorded, to confirm your identity, the deal terms and details from your application.

Before a deal funds, many funders call to confirm the basics: who you are, that you own the business, the amount and payment schedule, the account to be debited and whether you have other financing. Some also verify your business address or landlord.

Answer accurately. The call often records your confirmation of the terms, and what you say can become part of the file if there is a dispute later. If anything you hear differs from the offer you were shown, stop and ask before the deal funds.

It is also a good moment to confirm the details that matter to your cash: the exact net funding amount, the first debit date and how to request reconciliation if sales drop.
